One of the Black Hills’ busiest guys, Kenny Putnam has been on the run pretty much non-stop since we wrote about him four years ago. When he’s not racing around his office, where he specializes in computer imaging and printing, Kenny might be participating in a Red Willow Band reunion, helping his kids pursue their own musical careers, gigging with his new band, The Song Pilots, or even getting a little artwork done. Actually he says he gets very little artwork done, but hopes that someday he can get back to it. He completed a striking painting juxtaposing Todd Riggione and Teddy Roosevelt during the “Rally in the Art Alley” event we hosted a couple of years ago. Find it on the Seventh Street end of the alley. Kenny also has some beautiful paintings from his college years at his office in the Creamery Mall across from Armadillos in downtown Rapid City.
